# Governance and Utility

Syntor will employ a DAO-based governance system, giving $TOR token holders the ability to participate in key decision-making processes. This ensures that the protocol evolves in a decentralized and community-driven manner.

$TOR, the native token of the Syntor Protocol, will be used for:

* Staking & Governance: DAO-based governance for network upgrades.
* Compute & AI Model Access: Users pay $TOR to run AI workloads.
* Yield & Incentives: Stakers earn rewards from AI computing fees.
* Synthetic Data Trading: Enables the purchase of AI-generated datasets.
